Description: Macintosh HD:Users:johnplotz:Desktop:IMG_E2111.jpgNothing very interesting happened today. The novelty of being in new country is wearing off (end of the honeymoon stage in the culture shock chart?). I have less to write about I guess, and I am also finding less time to write. But without the internet it is harder to find ways to procrastinate, so in some ways writing these updates have become my way to procrastinate (only joking). I really do find writing a nice way to relax when I come home from school before I dive into my homework or vocab-hell.

The program gives us these little cellphones with a Tajik SIM card on them, so we can contact our Resident Director and our parents can call us. The phones also sometimes have games on them. Mine has Snake on it, which has quickly become a good distractor. It also has this game called Sokoban on it. I can’t get past the fifth level, and it is driving me crazy. I will post a photo and maybe somebody can help me out. The goal of the game is to move the boxes over the blueberries (bombs?), but you can’t move two boxes next to each other.

In another incredibly uninteresting news, I switched my iphone lock screen photo from my class schedule to a photo I took of the second highest flag pole in the world (hint: it’s here in Dushanbe). But I have been barely ever been using my iphone these days. Taking away the internet and messaging functions pretty much renders it an expensive but not very good camera.
